Governance

We support organizations in strengthening their governance frameworks and improving steering and decision-making mechanisms.

The practical challenge

Decisions slow down when responsibilities are unclear, committees overlap or alerts fail to reach the right level. A governance assignment starts by clarifying which decisions matter, who owns them and what information they require.

Areas of support

  • Organization of control functions (three lines of defense)
  • Governance frameworks and committees
  • Clarification of roles and responsibilities
  • Risk steering and reporting frameworks

How does governance differ from internal control?

Governance defines direction, oversight and accountability for decisions. Internal control turns those priorities into checks within business processes. They work together: a procedure cannot replace clearly assigned responsibility.
